North Irish Sea Array Offshore Wind Farm

North Irish Sea Array Windfarm Limited (NISA Ltd) is proposing to develop the North Irish Sea Array (NISA) Offshore Wind Farm. The proposed development will include offshore infrastructure (wind turbine generators and their foundations, an offshore substation platform with foundation and subsea cabling) in the Irish Sea off the coast of Counties Dublin, Meath and Louth and onshore infrastructure (transition joint bays, onshore cables, a grid facility and connection to the national electricity transmission network) in County Dublin (Fingal and Dublin City Council administrative areas).

NISA Ltd submitted an application for permission for the proposed development to An Coimisiún Pleanála (formerly An Bord Pleanála) under Section 291 of the Planning and Development Act 2000, as amended, to carry out the proposed development. This was submitted in June 2024 (Case Reference ABP-319866-24).

The project received a Request for Further Information (RFI) from An Coimisiún Pleanála   in April 2025, the response to which is now available to view as per the addendum documents in folders below.  In addition, the response to the submissions and observations received as part of the statutory consultation process, including from the public, statutory bodies, transboundary consultees and the coastal planning authorities are also available in the folders below.
